So, I know that this is a lady blog. Fine. But I like to look at men, alot, especially Common! He's gorgeous, fabulous, and he's about the people. His swagger is undeniable. I am not a huge Lily Allen fan, I don't think she can sing very well, she's also sort of plain looking...and the whole Trainers+BallGown thing was super played before she even got to it, now it's cheesy as shit.
I'm sure of his talent though, and I suggest you go cop his new album, "Finding Forever" because track for track that shit is gold.

I am all about brown people doin' it big. Open up a store, throw parties, start your own groups...whatever, just represent and make us look good...Keep Me Hot, that's what I always say. At any rate, due to my upcoming departure to the land of milk and honey (NYC), I've been checking out culture blogs and shit. This post has no real purpose, other than to say how awesome Brown (Black/Latina/Middle Eastern/Asian) girls are. There's not enough of us getting together doin shit, let's fix that.
A few reasons why we're awesome:
1.We're hella talented, whether it be in the academic realm or the entertainment field.
2.Our culture is thick, and usually written in our faces.

DREAM GIRLS
My man took me to see one of the most stunningly well done movies I've seen in a while the other night; Dream Girls. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but the flow of the songs and the story were totally in sync. Dope casting, dope wardrobe, dope writing. DOPE! Was it just me or did anyone else feel proud to see Eddie Murphy playing a role of a drug addicted funk/soul artist rather than a daycare owner? LOL. Dream Girls and this summer's Idlewild have totally raised the bar for black cinema and I couldn't be prouder! Eye candy for the soul!
